  • Fashion brand Reserved has announced that it plans to open further UK stores alongside plans to open 400 stores across Europe by the end of 2023. The brand’s London flagship opened on Oxford Street in 2017, but further expansion was put on hold at the end of 2019 due to uncertainties arising from Brexit. Further stores are planned for Oxford Street, Brent Cross Shopping Centre and Westfield Stratford City, with potential openings being discussed for Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds and Newcastle.

  • B&Q will close its Asda concessions in March to focus on its small-format high street stores. B&Q’s Local formats, currently open in London’s Camden and Palmers Green, offer a limited range of products in-store but have click-and-collect facilities available, as well as services such as key cutting and paint mixing. The retailer also has six non-Local branded high-street stores in London.

  • Sports retailer Under Armour is opening three stores across the UK in the coming months as the trend for athleisure continues. The stores, planned for Liverpool One, Battersea Power Station and Westfield Stratford, are part of Under Armour’s strategy to strengthen its direct-to-consumer channel. The Battersea location is set to offer a performance centre including physiological assessments and training.

  • Wingstop UK is set to open its first standalone unit at Gallions Reach Retail Park in London this spring. UK franchisee Lemon Pepper Holdings has announced its acquisition of a former Bella Italia site on the retail park. Wingstop has 29 locations across the UK, including in London, Manchester and Edinburgh, having opened 11 sites in 2022.
